Partners
In 1975, Jeff Wilson came to Hilton Head Island. He was one of the founding partners
of Lighthouse Realty which became one of the largest residential real estate companies
in the state. In 1982, the company was sold to the Hilton Head Company which was
owned by Marathon Oil. Wilson then started Pinnacle Southeastern (Formerly Wilson
Properties Southeastern), whose emphasis was on acquiring real estate commercial
properties through the formation of limited partnerships. In 1988, Wilson started
The Pinnacle Group, a residential real estate company, and was President of that
company until he sold his stock in 1995 and started concentrating full time in the
development and management in the self storage industry.
After graduating at Duke University in 1980, Chris Perry began working with Wilson
Properties in 1985 as regional director in charge of site selection and acquisition
of self storage properties. In 1993, he became Vice President of Pinnacle Southeastern,
Inc. and full partner in the development of self storage facilities.
Since its inception, Pinnacle Southeastern, Inc. has purchased, developed or managed
over 2,000,000 square feet of self storage facilities. Besides its current holdings,
the company has owned and operated an additional 21 facilities that have been sold
to Wall Street storage REITS. The company has been involved in real estate transactions
in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia,
and Florida. The main office is located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and
for the past several years, the storage facilities have been operating under the
trade name of "America's Attic".
